Last posts for a bit!

Just a quick share for you all before I head off for a long overdue family  visit to my brother in the States.
These are the Layouts I did with the May Box of You Kit over at the ScrapBoxx . Awesome kit with loads of goodies, 2 pages and still have left overs!

My lovely Nieces!

Made a stencil out of the punched out butterflies
then used my finger to roughly add the gesso then outlined with a fineliner!

Grunged up the alphas a little.

Added a little bling and a girlie page is done!

Now for a boy option still using the same Kit but I did add some buttons from my stash.

My eldest and his Cousin.

Grunged up the alphas again with a touch of paint applied with my finger!

Still loving arrows and chevrons together, a match made in heaven!

A little paint on the wordlet from Scrap Fx.

Hand cut the chevrons and added some "stitching" with a fineliner to go with the alphas.

Well thanks so much for dropping by will be back in a few weeks,

"Change" a little something for Bird is the Word

Hey All,
This is what I did for the latest word challenge over at Bird is The Word. The word is "CHANGE".
It did not quite go to plan for me this time, and am still not too sure about it, but hey it is done! In the end I got a little weary playing with it and making no decisions, all I knew was I wanted to use triangles in some way shape or form!

This is my youngest at Blairgowrie Pier over Easter, yes ages ago!
I am so not a scrapper that scraps chronologically.
I tend to jump all over the place scrapping whatever photo inspires me.
I started with the Crafters Workshop stencil as a background, was not overly keen on how it turned out but the show must go on!

Most of the chipboard I either sprayed with mist,
used some mica paint or even a combo of the two
to get the effect I wanted,
I used a heap of ScrapFX chippie goodness on this page I almost think I may have used just a wee bit too much! But then again I do love working with it! Can you tell?

Just love those spinners combined with the doodle flourish!

Once again the combo of these 2 chippies makes me happy!

Used some of the mini gears from the Tim Holtz range for the centers of those spinners!

Well that is about it for my Quickie post for today have some more to show but for now I have to get to my sons' footy game in the pouring rain (ARGH!!!). So see you back here in a bit!

Arrow/Chevron Heaven

Hi all, have been going through a bit of a creative lull, sticking to the art journal because it is quick and easy. Doing a photography course too so taking lots of obscure photos as practice. This does not leave much time for scrapbooking!
So I have closed the journal, and have vowed to do the deed and get back on a roll. This is the result, that all important first LO after a lay off. Had no inspiration so sat on the net for a bit, hoping to fire up, 3 days later I was done! I do waste a load of time once I creep toward the computer!

Used Washi Tape instead of patterned paper and some new products from ScrapFX.
My youngest is very difficult at times to get a good shot of him smiling. He is usually cranky at me for being in his face with camera attached or is playing the fool, he does have a talent for the silly face though!

The Scrap FX stencils are making me pant with anticipation!!!!

The Background was Lilybee Paper that I sprayed with 3 mist colours, over a brand new Stencil by Scrap FX. Stay tuned for these awesome designs I love what they have come up with!!!! (but this one is definitely my fave!)

I misted the "SMILE" with the stencil over the top to get a few lines,
then added a few splatts of gesso!
The Smile Title is cut from a wordlet so now I have the other half of it for another Page!

Perfect splatts at last I think I have the technique!!!

Love the diamond buttons finally had a project they suited perfectly,
have had them in the stash for ever.

The Arrows are misted strips of cardstock, folded in half and cut with scissors at a 45 degree angle to get both sides the same. I then used a scalpel to cut every second arrowhead out and use someplace else on the page.

Love these new chippies instant photo frames they are just so much fun
and come in a pack of 4 different designs.
This is one of the small ones,
there are larger ones that are just as yummy!
They also come with the window still in so you can use that as well!

The small frame I misted then coloured in the chevrons with an ordinary gel pen, works a treat. The cute camera was done the same way easy peasy!!

Now usually I hate the first LO "ice breaker" but I don't mind this one so much!
Thanks for stopping by,
