White with One September Challenge.

Really getting into the challenges this month this time with White With One.

As I had all the green mist already on my desk thought I would continue going GREEN!
Once again went with the recent photos of my nieces and their awesome summer!

I cannot seem to let those feathers go, just love filling in the details (makes me feel artistic!) to make each one an original. Better put them out of sight so I do not reach for them every time I create!

Just love how the chipboard from Scrap FX came up, with a mixture of embossing powders! Cracked open a  Studio Calico triangle stencil that has been hiding away in my draw unused (how on earth did that happen??)!!!!
So the fun continues as I go away to search for more challenges to inspire me! How did I get so much time to get these done??? Must be footy finals time and my boys leave me in peace to stay glued to the TV screen or head off to the MCG! AHHH the Serenity!

Once upon a Sketch September Challenge

Wow time flies! It certainly has been a while since my last post, but I am back for a quick show of my take on this months sketch over at
Here is the awesome sketch that really caught my eye:

The theme was "LUCKY" so I instantly thought of my nieces and the wonderful summer they are having while we shiver away in the southern hemisphere!
So without further rambling here is my take on that challenge:

Really got into girly mode with this one using my watercolours and a Crafters Workshop stencil to create the background. And with a little help by the embossing powder I managed to create some texture.

I have used some favourite chipboard pieces from Scrap FX coloured with ink pads and a touch of embossing powder to tie the elements together.
So that is it for that challenge on to the next one!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Yay, playing with a New Stamp Line from ScrapFX!!!

I have been having a ball playing with these new stamps from Scrap FX  that are mounted on a flexible backing, so it is easy to apply on any surface.  There are great designs to suit everyone. Check them out in the new products section on the website.

This is the first one I played with:

Field of Flowers Stamp

Field of Flowers Stamp

Field of Flowers Stamp  13 x 14 cm
Remember this one as a chippie?
I used it here to create a shadowy background with some pigment stamp pads:

Here is the rest of the page:
I also used some fab chippies that awesome wordlet and corner from last month.

You can never have enough feather images I say,
Ruffled Feather Stamp

Ruffled Feather Stamp

Ruffled Feather Stamp   18 x 70 cm
I used it with Stazon ink here and applied some watercolour for an ombre effect.

I was inspired by the image I have used on my blog header above, I tried to replicate it using the foam stamp and a time holtz stamp from one of his early sets!

So that is what I have been up to all this time, off to enjoy the sunshine as we turn our backs on that gloomy winter weather!
Hugs to all!
