About Me

Hi Everyone,
my name is Michelle Logan and I live in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne Australia with my Hubby, 2 teenage boys, a dog and 2 rabbits. I am a retired PE/Science teacher that has a creative streak!

I started on my creative journey as a calligrapher and stamper, doing cards and making wedding invitations before I had my boys. As a result, have a stamp collection that is just embarrassing!

I started scrapping when my eldest was born (almost 18 years ago), and way back in the “dark age” there was very little in the way of commercial scrap supplies. I used stamps and did a lot of cut and paste to create mini albums. I cringe looking back on it, but it is great to see how my skill level has evolved in much the same way the scrapbooking industry has. Constant changes in trends, fashions and techniques  keep me inspired and motivated.

I have always been creative and have dabbled in many arts, crafts and photography. I guess you could say my style of scrapping is "Mixed Media Messy" and predominantly masculine, but I do love to mix it up, try new things and techniques. Aside from scrapping, I do love to create off the page projects, canvases and I do keep a couple of Art Journals on the go where I give the new ideas a shot.

I have taught scrapbooking locally but sadly, like many, the stores have since closed. Teaching is something I really do miss, as I love meeting like minded people that have a passion for what they do. I feel there is nothing better than seeing someone create something they never thought they could do, opening their eyes to a whole new world of creative possibility!

I have been published in Australian magazines, including Scrapbook Creations, Creating Keepsakes and Scrapbooking Memories Magazine.

In 2013 I had a fantastic experience as a "Scrapbook Creations Magazine Design Diva" which entailed writing for the magazine each month (so much Fun!).

In 2014/15 I was lucky enough to win a spot as a  Scrapbooking Memories Magazine Master where I created projects for the magazine each month and had further editorial opportunities

I am currently on the team at Scrap FX as a Design Team Coordinator, just adore their lovely Chippies!!!

  1. Hi Michelle, I have been a fan of your work for a few years (Scrapbooking Memories mag), but always wondered "how do you do that". Last year I discovered ColourBlast and your step by step tutorials. Fantastic, you showed me how to get started. So grateful. I now happily play with mixed media on most of my layouts. It has been such a journey. Thank you. Happy crafting. Carolyn Haswell
